M&A Outlook Survey: Confidence Grows in 2011
By KPMG LLP and Knowledge@Wharton | Feb. 23, 2011
From KPMG
A survey of 992 executives, conducted by Knowledge@Wharton and sponsored by KPMG LLP, reveals the current trends and developments in merger and acquisition (M&A) activity globally, and discusses the challenges that buyers face.
This whitepaper aims at gaining deeper understanding of the forces driving the current M&A environment. As the global economy slowly recovers from the financial crisis, M&A activity has also picked up. With a deal volume increase of nearly 23 percent, 2010 marked the first positive growth since 2007.
This increase has been attributed to a rebound in both the debt and equity markets and the fact that companies are upbeat about 2011, but several challenges still remain.
