This Webcast focuses on the results of a recently completed KPMG survey of CEOs and senior executives in the consumer markets industry - food and beverage and retail. Survey participants were canvassed to get their perspectives on the industry's economic conditions; when they believe the overall economy will recover, including factors that might affect recovery; and how they plan to improve their business (i.e. emerging markets, growth through acquisition, social media, etc.).

Even with the food and beverage executives surveyed seeing a better economic picture this year relating to their overall business, significant concerns remain over the employment outlook and the continued challenges of heightened competition and aggressive pricing and discounting practices.

Although overall optimism is on the rise in the retail sector, retailers are looking to rebound from what was a drastic economic downturn for them. Retail executives know they must do more than cut costs - they need to capture more of their customers' spending in what will continue to be a low-growth environment.
