Glenn Koennecke is the National Advisory IFRS Leader in KPMG's New York office. Glenn has more than 29 years of experience delivering audit and advisory services.  He also advises global organizations on the myriad of issues as it relates to IFRS conversions.

As National Advisory IFRS Leader, Glenn leads the firm's advisory service initiative supporting client conversions to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). He provides project management and advisory assistance to multinational corporations and financial institutions on the development of financial reporting processes and controls to support their IFRS, U.S. GAAP and SEC accounting and disclosure requirements. Glenn also supports clients with their acquisitions and initial public offerings, providing assistance with SEC and foreign filings, technical accounting advice and the development of financial reporting processes supporting compliance.

Glenn also advises clients on the application of complex accounting standards in the areas of derivatives, consolidations, variable interest entities, and business combinations and is a member of the firm's Financial Instrument and Derivatives Resources Team.

Glenn previously served as lead U.S. partner in Japan. He has extensive experience with the global operations and related controls of major multinational corporations and financial institutions, including areas of risk management, derivatives, capital market transactions, and mergers and acquisitions.

His industry experience includes banking and financial institutions, insurance, real estate, media and entertainment, and industrial markets.
