Audit and SEC Partner, IFRS Lead Partner-Western Area Audit, KPMG LLP

Brian Allen is an Audit and SEC partner in KPMG's Silicon Valley office and is the Western Area Audit IFRS Lead Partner for the firm.

Brian has 22 years of experience serving technology companies on complex accounting issues, including business combinations, stock compensation, restructurings, and revenue recognition. Previously, Brian served at the SEC and was the Chief Financial Officer of a public software company, providing him a comprehensive, balanced, and practical perspective of issues facing technology companies.

As an SEC reviewing partner, Brian’s responsibilities include consulting with engagement teams and clients on accounting, auditing or other matters; reviewing drafts of SEC filings, preparing and reviewing communications to the SEC; and resolving issues with the SEC. Within KPMG, he is also a Financial Derivative Resource Partner and an Income Tax Resource Partner. He was previously the Audit Sector Leader - Software for KPMG and the Area Risk Management Partner for the Western United States and partner in charge of Professional Practice for the Los Angeles, Orange County, Century City, Woodland Hills, and Honolulu offices.

Brian earned a BS degree in business and administration with high honors from the University of Montana. He is a member of the AICPA.
