Audit Senior Manager, Department of Professional Practice, KPMG LLP

David Barr is a senior manager in KPMG LLP's Department of Professional Practice and has more than 10 years of experience in audits for public and private entities.

Dave has focused on communications companies and health care providers. While working with these clients, he has provided services on a number of securities offerings, including public bond offerings, 144A exempt offerings, municipal bond offerings, and initial public offerings.

In addition to providing financial statement audit services, Dave has experience providing clients with such IT and management advisory services as testing of system-based controls, IT project assessments, and capital planning advisory.

In his role with DPP, Dave advises audit engagement teams on complex accounting and audit matters and helps develop firmwide accounting and audit guidance for KPMG partners, professionals, and clients.

Dave holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration from Bucknell University. He is also a licensed CPA in Arizona, Maryland, Washington D.C., and New York, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
