Larry Raff

National Partner in Charge, KPMG's 404 Institute

Mr. Raff leads KPMG's 404 Institute and is an integral member of the National Advisory Services Leadership team focusing on product development and strategy around risk management, process controls, and financial reporting.

His focus is on helping organizations achieve their transformation strategies by addressing the four dimensions of change: people, process, technology and risk.  He has been a leading member of the National Product team on Sarbanes-Oxley, and has been working with some of KPMG's top clients: on their response to transformation initiatives around Finance and Technology, IT governance and enablement and Section 404.

He leads the firm's efforts on Alliances and Channels and works directly with key alliance partners on the evolution of processes and technologies to support the advancement of business reporting, business intelligence, process management and process sourcing.

Mr. Raff is leading an internal initiative to integrate global resource capabilities for one of KPMG's largest service areas. For that initiative Mr. Raff is responsible for the lifecycle of sourcing decisions from business case through execution.

Previously, Mr. Raff was the Global Partner-in-Charge for Audit and Risk Advisory Technology Integration. In that role he was responsible for four key aspects of the Audit and Risk Advisory Business:

  • Enabling and differentiating services through the use of technology
  • Advancing core operating processes through the use of advanced technology
  • Identifying and managing key technology alliances for the practice
  • Working with key clients and targets to advise them on processes and systems around business risk, controls and reporting.

 

 Mr. Raff has been involved with KPMG's Assurance and Auditing practice since 1993.
