Global IFRS Leader in Europe Middle East and Asia, KPMG

Manfred Hannich is the Global Head of Accounting Advisory Services for KPMG and, together with his team, provides financial reporting assistance to a wide range of companies. He has been with KPMG since 1983.

In 2002 Manfred started a network of dedicated IFRS conversion specialists in Europe and led the development of KPMG's methodology and toolkit for IFRS conversions. This is considered a best practice methodology, and is now based on years of IFRS conversion experience. As leader of this IFRS network in Europe, Manfred plays a key role in many large-scale conversion engagements and fostered knowledge transfer.

Manfred has extensive experience in the implementation of international accounting standards in many industry sectors including Energy, Automotive and other manufacturing sectors, as well as in post-conversion system and process improvement.  He also has in-depth capital market expertise having advised many clients on initial public offerings.

He has a degree in economics and is a German Chartered Accountant.
