Peter Gleason is managing director and chief financial officer of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), serves as treasurer of the NACD board of directors, and is the chief operating officer of the NACD's Center for Board Leadership.

Mr. Gleason, a member of NACD's national faculty, is frequently quoted in the national media on issues facing board directors. He has served as a commissioner on a number of the NACD's Blue Ribbon Commissions, including the commissions on Risk Governance, Board-Shareholder Communications, The Governance Committee, Director Liability, Board Leadership, Executive Compensation and Risk Oversight. He also was vice chairman of the NACD's Blue Ribbon Commission on Board Evaluation.

Mr. Gleason is a member of the Business Advisory Board of Nura Health Care Technologies and a member of the Executive Advisory Panel for the Open Compliance and Ethics Group. He formerly was in the advisory practice at Ernst & Young, in the consulting group at Pritchett and Associates, and served in the research department at Institutional Shareholder Service.

He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and has an MBA degree, with concentrations in finance and marketing, from Virginia Tech.
