Teresa E.

Terry Iannaconi is KPMG LLP's partner in charge-knowledge sharing, Department of Professional Practice, the firm's national accounting and auditing technical services group.

In that capacity she is responsible for a variety of initiatives, including the development and dissemination of publications and presentations to clients, non-clients and academic groups.

Ms. Iannaconi also serves as a senior technical partner in the firm’s SEC and Practice Advisory Group, which is responsible for providing accounting and auditing advisory support to engagement teams in consultations on significant financial reporting matters.

Prior to joining KPMG in 1995, she was employed by the SEC for 19 years, including serving as deputy chief accountant in the SEC's Division of Corporation Finance.

Ms. Iannaconi is on the Board of Trustees of the SEC Historical Society, on the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board Subcommittee of the Securities Law Committee of the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals, and on the Advisory Board of the SEC Institute. She also serves on the board of advisors at the University of Maryland's Smith School of Business.

She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the American Accounting Association. In 2007 she completed a four-year term on KPMG's board of directors and the board of directors of the KPMG Foundation.

She previously served as a member of the AICPA's SEC Regulations Committee, the Financial Accounting Standards Board’s Emerging Issues Task Force and the American Accounting Association’s Financial Accounting Standards Committee.

Ms. Iannaconi received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Georgetown University and a master's degree in finance at the University of Maryland.
