KPMG's International Standards Group will shortly release The Application of IFRS: Media Companies, which highlights approaches that certain companies in the media sector took in their IFRS financial statements to address industry-specific accounting issues. This publication, which is based on a review of the financial statements of 28 media companies from 15 countries, also summarizes the main differences between U.S. GAAP and IFRS for these entities. An executive summary is available, and interested parties may place an advance order for the complete publication.
