European Mid-Market Poised For Growth
By KPMG, LLP | Aug. 01, 2010
From the Global Enterprise Institute
This pan-European survey of directors of mid-market companies gives an insight into how they believe the recession has affected their businesses both in terms of the challenges they have faced and their response.
The main challenges for mid-market companies have been falling activity; losing key customers and/or suppliers; increasing costs and financing difficulties, both in terms of accessing finance and experiencing tighter borrowing requirements.
Given the variety of market conditions across Europe, the respondents gave a mixed view of their plans for the future. However, the majority indicated that international business was a crucial part of their strategy.
