Middle Market Companies Focus on Global Expansion

The recent recession has affected economies across the globe. However, many regions now appear to be growing once again. As was true before the recession, emerging markets are predicted to have the highest growth rates.
International markets, particularly those in emerging markets, can provide U.S. companies with substantial growth opportunities. As the M&A market has continued to improve, cross-border transactions have been increasing in number.
Global expansion has become a priority for middle market companies. In order to gain insight into how middle market companies are approaching the opportunities and challenges of international expansion, KPMG LLP recently conducted a survey of more than 1,000 middle market executives in both the public and private sector.
